Saving custom paragraphs as QuickLists in your addendum

Written by on December 16, 2014

We showed in an earlier Tech Tip how to daisy-chain QuickList canned comments in a multi-line field. But did you know that, for the purposes of QuickLists, your supplemental addendum is treated as if it were just any other large multi-line field? The only difference between saving QuickLists in your addendum and any other field is that you need to highlight the text you want to save first. Choose to save phrases, sentences, paragraphs, or even several pages' worth of text.

Saved comments and paragraphs we commonly see include intended use clarifications, USPAP comments, comments about the approaches to value, and comments about market data sources.

Then, when you want to use that paragraph in your addendum, simply use its QuickList. And, if you have multiple paragraphs you’d like to use, you can use them one right after the other. This gives you immense flexibility, consistency, and time-savings when writing your reports.
