We’re prepared for the worst case scenario

Written by on January 5, 2017

As a lynchpin of this country’s real estate sector that powers over half of its appraisals, disaster recovery is built into every part of our architecture. Redundancy, fault tolerance, and security are in our DNA. In fact, we’ve invested millions in building an infrastructure capable of surviving, providing you the advantage of unparalleled reliability.

Other companies send you apologies when service is down for days because of catastrophic weather or failed equipment, but apologies won't get you up and running any faster.

To that end, we routinely go through extensive game day scenarios to test the resiliency of our disaster recovery procedures. At midnight tomorrow (Friday, January 6th) our IT department will kick off 2017 by running a series of tests on our recovery systems. We'll "failover" critical components back and forth between redundant data centers. So, from midnight until 2AM, you’ll likely experience intermittent access to our online services like maps, XSites, and delivery.

According to our usage stats, this is the time frame for when you're least likely to be working. But if you are working in the wee hours, thanks in advance for your patience.

As always, thank you for your business and let us know if you have any questions.
