Targeted marketing with custom groups

When it comes to contacts, many appraisers have a tendency to lump all their contacts together, but that's not the most effective way to market yourself. The more specific you can be when picking your target markets, the more effective your efforts will be.

In your XSite's contacts list, create your own personal contact groupings, being specific with each one. So, instead of just “homeowners,” you’ll have a group each for "Tax Challenge," "PMI removal," and "For-Sale-By-Owner." For attorneys, you could even distinguish between Divorce, Estate, Bankruptcy, Expert Witness, and more. Groups help to streamline your e-mail campaigns, making it easier to do more effective targeted marketing.

Don't worry if you don't have any contacts yet, either. Setting up your contact groups is one of the first things you should do in your marketing efforts, and is most effective when done before you import any contacts.
