30 years of memories from our customers

Last month as a part of our 30th Anniversary, we asked our customers to share some of their favorite memories on our Facebook page. We were overwhelmed with dozens of replies. Here are some of our favorites:
“I remember years ago when I switched from Appraise-It to a la mode. My production increased exponentially simply because it was easier to use and Technical Support was always there to help. I've always compared it to changing out the HVAC system in my last house—the new system was twice as comfortable at half the cost.”

“Let me first say I love a la mode’s support as well as its products. During a successful Tech Support call recently, I was speaking with a Tech Support representative from a la mode and found out he is a part time storm-chaser. We spoke about chasing tornadoes briefly after resolving my issue and I was intrigued about his upcoming storm-chasing 'vacation'. It really sparked my interest in someday embarking on a storm-chasing adventure myself. This off-topic type of 'normal conversation' shows how a la mode treats each call as an opportunity to bridge the gap between service provider and consumer, and shows they continually strive to unify the two into a synchronous and fluid 'human' interaction.”

“We've been with a la mode for over 20 years and wouldn't dream of switching. I remember several years back flying down to Oklahoma for training. It was fun meeting the people behind the voices, very memorable. Also, we have gone to California, Florida and the Bahamas for training, really do enjoy the live training.”

"Our Company, Associated Real Estate Services in Newnan, GA has been with a la mode almost 30 years. We started out with DOS system. Sometime around 1990, two people from your team came to our office to install some new software and 'network' our computers. They spent a few days with us and showed all of the new hi-tech features which helped us become much more efficient. Super nice folks and great memories!"

“My best memories have to do with better functionality. In the beginning, many years ago, dragging photos into place was much better than my old software, but the best memory of all is when the mobile app was perfected which eliminated my need for a camera. That was HUGE! I can't imagine doing this the old fashioned way. Thanks guys!”

“My family and I have been using a la mode’s software since 1993 when we began our company. I remember going to trainings in Orlando when Dave Biggers was still presenting. Since the software and support have always been so reliable, I don't really have any 'a la mode' stories…and I thank you for that! Happy 30th Anniversary!”

“Every customer service memory is a favorite! I've never had a bad experience. They're ridiculously determined to make sure we're happy and that our problems are solved. I particularly liked when they were able to help me recover a sketch I had spent at least 45 minutes on. I was practically in TEARS! Thanks and happy 30th!”

"My favorite memory is all the times I've been saved by Elite Tech Support! I have been confused on how to fix my problem (my own fault not the software) and within a few minutes tech support has solved my problem and even remotely logged in to fix my issues because I don't know the computer lingo. I will never use any other company, a la mode is the best!"

"I have a couple favorite memories to share. The best was a few years ago when I was almost finished with a complicated assignment for a new bank client that I had worked very hard to sign with. It was probably the 2nd or 3rd assignment for this client. My computer screen went blank and I thought my monitor was broken. Unfortunately it was not the monitor. My computer had crashed! I set up a spare computer and called a la mode’s Tech Support. Within a very short time, my file was recovered from the Vault, and I was able to deliver the report first thing the next morning. I was then able to download all of my files, QuickLists, templates, etc., with no problems."

"My favorite memory is an ongoing experience. I first used a la mode when I worked for a large appraisal company. Signing up for a la mode was my first order of business about 10 years ago when I went 'on my own'. Having a la mode as back up not only for software—but also for communications (email, website, etc.), industry advice, training and trending technology—gives me a full team of friendly professionals 24/7 who make being out there 'on my own' not being 'all alone'.
