Titan is coming
Written by a la mode on June 22, 2016
Every appraiser knows the truly legendary names from the past two decades of our appraisal software — names like Aurora, Athena, Apollo, and Olympus. But now there’s a new one to learn: “Titan”. And it’s the best one yet, by a long shot.
Titan is our latest-generation, 100% cloud-based forms system. That means that it runs on any Windows PC with nothing but a web browser — so there’s absolutely zero to install. You can log in from anywhere, using your favorite browser, and instantly start working. No updates to worry about, either — Titan sits on our web servers, so it’s always ready, always up to date. And if your old computer goes south, no worries. In seconds you’re working on Titan again from any other computer with all your files right there in the cloud exactly as you left them. That cloud structure also makes Titan’s networking super easy — securely share anything or everything “in real time” with your assistant, office manager, or co-appraisers, no matter where in the world they may be.
And yes, all of that works in equally spectacular fashion on a Mac, an iPad, an Android tablet, or whatever device you choose.
That’s right. This changes everything, in the best way possible. Titan is freedom to work where you want, when you want, how you want.
Since seeing is believing, we’ve just launched a “sneak peek” version of Titan — for our Elite users only — as proof that Titan is far ahead of every other appraisal package. The Elite Preview is the real deal, not a marketing page. But Titan isn’t completely ready yet, so we’ve limited the things they can do with it. As we add the rest of the pieces of Titan’s broad product line — sketching, office management, analytics, comps sharing, etc. — we’ll launch new Previews each time.
So why are we telling you about it, if only our Elite members get to see it? Because with more appraisers using our software than all other brands combined, the odds are very high that you know some Elite appraisers in your area, or online. Ask around, and get their unbiased opinion about it. We’re confident you’ll hear how superior it is already.
Over the coming months, you’ll hear a lot about Titan. We want you to see where we’re going, hear how cool and impressive it is, and learn how much being a web product improves the way you work. It takes some time for all of the benefits to sink in, and this Preview process and communications stream will let everyone absorb it in nice digestible chunks. You’ll be itching to use it when it’s finally out, and you’ll have had the chance to hear from thousands of Elite members who got to use the Preview versions.
Titan matters. The shift to cloud-based appraising is as significant as the move from DOS to Windows was back in the day — and we’re confident it will have the same impact. It’s extremely costly and resource-intensive as a software developer to create robust cloud-based products for the next technology shift (along with truly mobile tools) at the same time that you’re still developing desktop Windows software for the old technology environment. Like the short-sighted DOS vendors of old who moved too slowly to Windows versions, trying to avoid the shift to the web and to mobility is simply a slow death sentence.
There’s a lot more coming. So stay tuned. Titan is changing everything you thought you knew about appraisal software — for the better.
