Will be largest appraisal convention in recent memory, starring version 5.0 of company’s flagship appraisal software

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — a la mode, inc., developer of multi-market real estate software and online services, will host more than 1,000 appraisers at the company’s first summer Technology Convention in Orlando July 28-30 at the Disney Contemporary Resort.

Attendees will take advantage of courses and panel discussions on such technology topics as mobile productivity tools, electronic report delivery, workflow management, marketing, customer relations and more.  a la mode’s strategic focus on customer training is well known and has spawned many imitators in the appraisal space, but none which can pull off a 1,000-plus convention.

The star of the show will be a la mode’s WinTOTAL form filling software version 5.0, Aurora, making its national debut at the convention.  More than 60 of a la mode’s nearly 250 employees will be on hand to answer questions, take care of attendees, and teach hands-on classes giving appraisers a leg up on the new WinTOTAL and other technology products and services.

Launched in a DOS version in 1985, WinTOTAL celebrates its 20th anniversary as the industry’s leading form filling and workflow management application.  More than half the real estate appraisals in the United States today are produced with it.

“Our customers will learn straight from the developers and product managers whose efforts have gone into developing the new version for many months how to get the most out of our revolutionary new version,” Mike Unser, Vice President, Appraisal with a la mode, said.

The thousand plus attendance will make the Convention the largest appraisal conference in recent memory.  More than 700 appraisers joined a la mode at its first Annual Appraisal Convention, with a focus on industry and business topics, in Las Vegas in February.  The feedback and experience prepared the company well for its much larger undertaking this summer, Unser commented.

About 200 appraisers attended local “hands on” training seminars previewing Aurora in Oklahoma City and Orlando at the end of June. “The excitement surrounding Aurora is unprecedented,” Unser said. “There aren’t many companies – and certainly none that serve appraisers – which could pull off simultaneous, filled to capacity seminars in two cities followed by a thousand-plus technology convention.”

For years a la mode has delivered useful, hands on technology training for appraisers, instead of long Continuing Education marathons from which attendees take little of real world value.  a la mode customers in turn deliver their clients the mortgage industry’s most tech-savvy, productive, professional appraisal service.
