Fair Isaac Diamond™ LOS to Post Appraisal Orders to the a la mode XSites Network

Written by on March 30, 2005

Integration will speed appraisal turn times for Diamond users and generate more business for Appraiser XSites website users nationwide

ORLANDO, FL — From the floor of the Mortgage Bankers Association’s 2005 National Technology in Mortgage Banking Conference & Expo here, a la mode, the nation’s leading mortgage and appraisal technology company, announced that Fair Isaac Corporation, the leading provider of analytics and decision technology, has chosen its XSites Network to become the appraisal workflow management backend of its Diamond™ LOS customers.

As a result of this integration, appraisal orders requested in Diamond will be electronically routed to the XSites Network and be distributed to the appropriate appraiser in the a la mode nationwide appraiser network.

“Fair Isaac, working with a la mode, can now provide optimized services to our residential mortgage lenders with a seamless process for ordering appraisals,” says Reggie Swiney, director for mortgage products at Fair Isaac. “The industry has recognized automation as a key differentiator in mortgage lending.  The integration between a la mode’s Xsite and the BridgeLink network is a natural fit for both companies and will reduce the time and effort spent in requesting appraisals through traditional means of faxing and website requests.”

Appraisal order workflow will be greatly streamlined with the integration of Diamond and the XSites network.  While the appraiser is working the assignment, status updates will flow through the XSites Network back through BridgeLink to the Diamond user.  The data from the report is read back into Diamond without the need to re-key data, making the appraisal ordering process significantly more efficient.

“Diamond users will still see and use their LOS the exact same way, and appraisers will receive their orders and upload their work product directly through their XSites, so there will be no visible changes,” says Jennifer Miller, special projects manager for a la mode. “What will be substantially improved is the turnaround time on assignments, status updates, and fully secure delivery of reports.”

Appraiser XSites, the first XSites Network variant to be released in 2003, pioneered online statusing, order management, and delivery of appraisals in both PDF and XML formats.  In the XSites Network, formerly the Mercury Network, each XSite retains its own domain name and look and feel, yet the web services-based transaction management tools operating behind the scenes provide the consistency and open-standards integration previously found only in monolithic, third party networks.

As a result, the XSites Network allows a la mode clients to provide services feasible previously only for larger companies, without losing the hard-won public brand identity often associated with linking to third-party network solutions.
