Fixing Files PowerView to include tracking info

Written by on March 2, 2006

With your next Aurora update, available next week, you’re going to see a significant change to the way you keep track of your files and order status in WinTOTAL form filling software. The change is for the better – and much more than cosmetic – because the new Files PowerView takes the best of what used to be the Tracking PowerView and merges it directly into your file management system.

We realized that the Tracking PowerView didn’t need to be a separate view and it was causing more confusion than convenience.  The functionality of tracking and setting a report’s status really belongs with your reports, not in a separate PowerView.  As a result, once we release this update, you’ll see a new tracking “view” right inside your Files PowerView.  It will be in the lower left hand corner of your screen, and will include all the status views you’ve come to rely on in the Tracking PowerView today.

Now, you’ll be able to review and change status for any file from a brand new detail view right in your File Cabinet.  To accommodate the new details, each file will expand when you click on it in the grid.

You’ll also have a lot more information on each file at your fingertips with a new Detailed File View.  This will bring the most frequently used report functions within easy reach, making it even easier to find the information you need.  You’ll be able to expand multiple files at once which allow you to see the subject’s photo, set and view status, deliver the report, mark as paid and much more.  Click here for more information.

Finally, you’ll be in control of the status messages you send to clients, which can now include any notes you’d like.  We’re removing all automated status messages.  Now, nothing will go out without you knowing about it.  You’ll be able to make sure it’s going to the client’s preferred e-mail address, you’ll be able to Cc other recipients, choose the subject and preview the message before it actually goes out.  The control is 100 percent in your hands.  Click here for more information.
