How to go from wanting to be mobile to actually being mobile

Written by on January 25, 2018

**Update** The TOTAL for Mobile Boot Camp filled up quicker than we expected, so we're opening another class soon. Please check for the most up-to-date list of courses.

Going mobile is one of your top resolutions for 2018 (and okay, it was in 2016 and 2017 too, but 2018 is your year!). So, what’s your plan of attack? It’s necessary to have one if you’re going to successful at making the transition.

You already know the benefits — Fewer expenses (goodbye paper and ink), no paper trail to keep up with (hello cloud and workfile), and more space in your tool bag since you won’t need a camera, clipboard, or tape measure (on second thought, just toss the bag).

So what’s kept you so long?

That’s a loaded question. We know the transition presents a challenge because changing the way you work may not seem worth tackling.

Or is it?

It seems like it's all the rage to have a paperless office and use a mobile app for inspections. There's even a whole Facebook group devoted to it.

Well, there's a reason for that. It saves you time and makes you money.

Less time on reports = More time to do more reports = More money

It's basic math. Okay, not really, but here's a calculator that tells you just how much you're spending by not going mobile.

Now that you've had time to let that number soak in, here's a free guide that shows you how to go paperless.

It'll teach you where to begin, how to ditch the clipboard, why it's important to shadow a mobile peer, how to use the cloud to your advantage, and why you should never work without multiple monitors again.

You're welcome.

Back to going mobile. You can do it, and here's how: TOTAL for Mobile Boot Camp.

You'll learn how to get started with TOTAL for Mobile, and we'll cover different techniques that result in better pictures from your mobile phone or tablet (even if your device doesn’t have a flash). Plus you'll pick up tips and tricks to become comfortable and confident using TOTAL Sketch. (View the full course schedule.)

These classes are quick, digestible, and easy to follow. However, they build on each other, so you'll have the most success by attending all of them.

Don’t put your registration off. Spots are limited, and this boot camp will only be free for a limited time.
