Import PDFs as forms in the report
Written by Marketing on August 14, 2012
Has a client ever sent you a PDF document, like a copy of the contract, that you need to include as a page in the report? If you use anything other than WinTOTAL or TOTAL, you're probably used to a manual process of printing the document out of your e-mail and then scanning it back into your forms software.
Instead, use WinTOTAL’s (and TOTAL's) integrated PDF importer. Click Add, then choose Document from PDF. Browse to the document, and give the forms a name. WinTOTAL automatically converts the PDF into individual pages photo pages in the report – all of them at once. You got the document electronically, so keep it electronic, and save yourself some hassle (and paper).
And if you don't have WinTOTAL, call us or click here for a fully-functional, no-strings trail of either WinTOTAL or TOTAL 2011: 1-800-252-6633.
Extra Tip:
Since these pages are now images, and not simply PDFs anymore, you can do things to them that you can't easily do to a PDF, like crop and remove pages, or add annotations like calling an underwriter's attention to a particular part of the document with an annotated balloon.
